June 24, 2008	The 2008 recreational rowing season begins June 28. Membership for the 2008 season is $200.00 We will be holding registration this week for the 2008 Rowing Season as follows: Thursday, June 26, 2008 7:00 - 9:00 pm Grand Visions office in Cayuga AND Saturday, June 28, 2008 9:00 - 11:00 am Grand Visions office in Cayuga FIRST COME FIRST SERVED LIMITED SPACES FOR REC ROWING AND LEARN TO ROW
Apr 14, 2008	From the Club President: Howdy to All! I just returned from the Council meeting and wanted to let everyone know that the vote was UNANIMOUSLY in favour of the HGRRC using the Lower Kinsmen Park as our new home!!!! There are still things to be worked through before we can get the boats on the water this summer AND today's news in wonderful news. Today's decision was absolutely essential for us to move forward. I would like to thank ALL of the Executive for their tireless efforts! Greg, Brenda, Brian, Maureen and Lucy you are all just great! To all the members who showed up at the Council meeting and to those that called councillors. many, many thanks! To all those folks we haven't seen for awhile, please join the rest of us at our meeting at Grand Visions at 7pm this Wednesday, April 16. We have much to decide, much to do before we get the boats on the water! Hope to see you Wednesday!
Feb 15, 2008	Exciting news is that Haldimand County has agreed to the club using Cayuga Kinsmen Park on a trial basis for one year (located at the end of Ouse Street in Cayuga by the tennis courts and skate park). Much work needs to get done before we start our season. Most importantly, we need you the members to actively take part in the exciting new season. In order to have Recreation Rowing we need several people to step forward to coordinate the program. This is not a difficult task as there is a template of what has been done in previous years. This job can be handled by a team of individuals if one person does not want to handle the task alone. Please either call myself at 905-772-6095 for more details or come to our next meeting in March. IF WE DON'T HAVE A COORDINATOR OR A TEAM TO SET THIS UP, WE DON'T ROW. The same goes for the Learn to Row Program. People are starting to call about our season for learning to row and we need to have someone or a team of individuals to set this up. Again, there is a template to follow. Your Executive has worked hard to make this next season happen. Please come out to our meeting March 4, 2008 at 7 pm Grand Visions in Cayuga and offer your assistance.
