2. When do you row?
The 2012 Learn to Row program includes training by HGRRC volunteers and coaches, use of equipment, insurance and paid membership fees to RowOntario and Rowing Canada.
Stay tuned for 2012 LTR dates and registration forms.
Recreational Rowing begins in late June and usually lasts until mid-October. Dates and times for rec rowing are flexible and are set each season to best accommodate the members.
3. Why should I row? What are the benefits?

- Conditions and tones the whole body. The rowing motion exercises all major muscle groups through a wider range of motion than most other exercises
- Provides a time-efficient workout that offers a rhythmic, impact-free smooth motion
- Provides aerobic conditioning; improving cardiovascular health
- Provides strength conditioning; improving muscular strength and flexibility
- Provides a social atmosphere where you can interact with other members
- Encourages exercise/sport for individuals of all ages (from youth to seniors)
